Leapfrog Therapy provides online (telehealth) occupational therapy and speech therapy sessions for kids and their parents.

The power of technology is amazing, and we now have the opportunity to "visit" your child at home or school for their assessment/ therapy with the use of video conferencing and online assessment resources. 

​

Evidence has shown that teletherapy can be as effective as face to face therapy sessions, so it's a great option for children and families living in remote areas with limited access to Paediatric Occupational Therapists.  Leapfrog therapists can provide services to children all over Australia, as well as expat families living abroad who are keen to access specialist services from Australian trained Paediatric Occupational Therapists.

Telehealth is also a great option for parents wanting advice/ strategies around particular areas of challenge with their children, as sessions can take place without their children present.  

 

This service was established and is currently provided by the director, Amanda MacLean.  In 2017/18 she relocated to Vietnam with her family, and saw first hand how challenging it was for expat families to access therapy services.  She has also spent time consulting to families and schools in remote areas of Victoria, where parents and teachers face similar difficulties trying to access specialist therapy services.
