Drop-in clinic

Waiting lists are frustrating! Demand for paediatric OTs and Speech Therapists is high, and some children wait months for a formal assessment. We keep a small number of one-hour appointments for families who need support sooner, with one of our experienced therapists.

  • Meet an experienced paediatric OT or Speech Therapist
  • Explore specific concerns about your child
  • Get advice and strategies for targeted areas
  • Get support when applying for NDIS funding

Drop-in sessions don’t replace a comprehensive assessment. They suit children on our waiting list, or children wanting an extra session. Can’t find a time? Call the office and we’ll do our best.

Feeding Clinic

Mealtimes can feel stressful when a child has difficulty eating, drinking, trying new foods or swallowing. Our Speech Therapists and OTs work together to understand the whole child: oral motor skills, sensory preferences, posture, regulation, routines and family goals.

It may suit children who:

  • Have a very limited range of foods
  • Refuse foods based on texture, smell or appearance
  • Gag, cough or become distressed at meals
  • Find chewing or managing textures hard
  • Need support with solids, cup drinking or cutlery
  • Feel anxious at mealtimes, or mealtimes feel stressful for the whole family

We use a responsive, relationship-based approach, drawing on the SOS Approach to Feeding and STEPS+ where they fit. Children build positive experiences with food at their own pace, never pressured to eat before they’re ready.

School holiday groups

Every school holidays we run small, neuroaffirming Leaps to Learning groups. They’re a fun, social way to build skills alongside other kids, led by our Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists.

  • Small groups, matched to each child’s needs and abilities
  • Programs change each holidays, such as school readiness groups for 4 and 5 year olds
  • A short assessment helps us find the right group for your child, arranged when you enquire
